The Medina Sandstone Society lost a beloved member of its Board of Directors on June 23, 2016 when Jeff Evoy passed away. Jeff had been a member of the Sandstone Society Board of Directors since he assumed the Superintendent position with the Medina School District. In addition to his community involvement with the Society Jeff also was a member of the Medina Lions Club and the Orleans YMCA. He was never so busy that he could not participate in many community projects and activities. Jeff was instrumental along with Bob Waters in establishing the John Ryan Society Scholarship Program at Medina High School. His passion for education and student community involvement were always evident in everything he accomplished. The Sandstone Society was fortunate to be a recipient of the gifts that he shared with so many society members. He will be remembered as a respected leader and collaborator in the Medina Community.
